Let's learn the basics first!

Step 6  Why should you care what Jesus is doing with His Church?

My simple answer to why you should care what Jesus is doing with His Church has everything to do with a Rebellion called “lawlessness” in Jesus’ Kingdom of Heaven and how this “lawlessness” has spread to God’s human creation.

It is a message at the HEART of Jesus’ Salvation and Kingdom of Heaven Gospel. It is a message at the heart of the Theme for this Land:  “The difference of Light and Darkness”.

The answer is simple but the explanation of it in the context of “Christianity” TODAY let alone the epic Story of His own telling of HisStory is a bit more complicated and not surprisingly BIG too.

I help you maintain that “simplicity of devotion to Christ” that Paul explained in 2 Corinthians 11:2-4 so you too can navigate your way following His Way by His Spirit who will tell you the rest of the Truth about anything of everything when others will not or cannot (1 John 2:26-27).

That includes the journey of learning what Jesus is doing with His Church today and already has done and said about this ancient Rebellion in His Kingdom called, “lawlessness” at any time throughout HisStory.

Every Christian has heard of the term “sin” as it is used in the Bible and by whatever group of Christians they have heard define it.

It seems if we Google searched the word “sin” that we would quickly find that there are MULTITUDES of definitions of “sin” depending on someone’s view of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and their experience with certain “Christian” teachings wherever they came from. Chances are you would also quickly throw up your hands in frustration and stop the study.

I wouldn’t blame you.

Some explanations are useful and some are not. I hope to help explain “sin” or frame it in a more useful way for you here at Pokyra.

I mean it will be framed in practical terms that serve both Jesus and His Kingdom rule in your life as well as your spiritual growth in Jesus.

You won’t see me use it to promote some Religious Interests of some Christian group that has neither relevance to Jesus and His Kingdom or your spiritual growth into His image and Primary Model for a Christian (1 John 2:3-6).

The foundational mystery or aspect of “sin” most often LOST in not-useful explanations of “sin” is the teachings surrounding the literal Kingdom of Heaven vs. the literal Rebellion in God’s Kingdom.

I help explain elsewhere in this Guest Website what I mean by a LOST teaching when I interpret the results of a Barna Group Study of American Christians (2009) that revealed over half to not even take Jesus literally about His Holy Spirit (His only CONNECTION given to us to His Kingdom of Heaven) or the Devil or Satan (the leader of the Rebellion in God’s Kingdom and “father of lies” as Jesus taught us – John 8:42-58).

Jesus specifically gave His LITERAL Holy Spirit the Primary Mission regarding “sin, righteousness and judgment” to “convinct” and prepare anyone to receive His Way Out of “sin” and its “judgment” taking place at a literal White Throne Judgment on the Last Day (John 16:7-15; Revelation 20:11-15).

Without these two foundational parts of Jesus’ Gospel and Worldview in 3D (Holy Spirit and Satan) presented as LITERAL then you might as well throw away your Bible because it is no longer literally relevant.

You will learn that I teach the Bible and Jesus’ spiritual experiences, His Gospel and His example for a Christian to be LITERALLY TRUE and not some fictional story as obviously most American Christians in that Barna Group Study (if you accept the results) at least to some degree still dishonor Jesus and live DISCONNECTED from Him by His Holy Spirit.

I have personally experienced so much of the offerings of the Holy Spirit and what my Master did with His disciples in the Bible (including personally knowing others who have spiritually experienced much of the rest) that for me the literal nature of ALL of Jesus’ words in the Bible is a given absolute.

The logic goes like this for too many Christians:  “If I have not personally experienced it then it does not exist.”

They then create God in their own image without His Holy Spirit to lead them into “all truth” and then the Problems really take root in their spiritual lives from there.

Given this spiritually disconnected “Christian” environment that does not honor Jesus “first place in everything” or take Him at His words, it is no wonder “Christians” are sort of making up their own definitions of “sin” APART from the Holy Spirit Primary Mission given by Jesus in John 16:7-15 and the other FOUNDATIONS of Jesus’ teachings about “sin”.

This includes His own 3D CONTEXT for “sin” as He explained it often using Parables (fictional stories based on ABSOLUTE TRUTH) sharing HisStory from the Beginning to the End (Alpha and Omega – Revelation 1:8; Matthew 13:9-23).

According to Jesus, there are ONLY two potential “sides” you can be standing on because “sin” is a term based on a literal Rebellion against the King of Heaven who is also God.

These two “sides” are where we get the “Light” and “Darkness” parts of Jesus’ Gospel.

On the surface that doesn’t really sound too mysterious because each Christian group uses some form of an “US” and “THEM” two sided approach to explain their version of “sin”.

But the obvious question is, “Are they REALLY standing with Jesus on His side?”

This has been the million dollar question for centuries (Matthew 7:21-23; 7:24-27) because the HisStory of God and His creation and especially His People the Jews and Christians too have this love/hate relationship with God throughout the ages.

I mean one generation comes close to God while another generation leaves God and this story has played out over and over again even up to the present.

Jesus' Side in 3D

“Thus says the Lord … ‘Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord.

For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.'” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

The Rebellion's Side in 1D

“Thus says the Lord, ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the Lord.

For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when prosperity comes, but will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, a land without inhabitant.'” (Jeremiah 17:5-6)
