More About Your “Most fulfilling place on earth”

Did you know that what Jesus promises you and me in His Gift and Provision from Heaven is something much more valuable than what Walt Disney and his “happiest place on earth” or even the Devil himself (“ruler of this world”) could ever hope to offer us in their best attempts?

You no doubt know Walt Disney’s Disneyland (if you are like me you have even visited when you had the chance) and hopefully as a Christian you know well the Devil’s best attempt at tempting Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11 that he still uses on us today if possible (2 Corinthians 11:2-4).

They both represent two ways to seek the ideal “better life” or “happy life” life goal. Life has many paths to choose and these are just two examples of potentially many thousands to choose from.

But there is a Worldview from God that sees everything either lived “with Him” or “without Him” and that is the point of what I am sharing here.

Life lived pursuing anything WITHOUT Jesus the King of Heaven pursued “first place in everything” will always lead anyone to a BIG FAT WIDE GATE that obviously most people are choosing here on earth.

There are two potential very different “gates” or two potential very different “foundations” for life that Jesus talked about in Matthew 7:13-27.

Jesus explained that the “wide gate” and foundation of “sand” will eventually lead anyone to destruction while the pursuit of the “narrow gate” and the foundation of “rock” leads anyone to TRUE life both now “on earth as it is in heaven” and eternal life in Heaven “as it is in heaven”.

How does one successfully seek and find the “narrow gate” and the foundation of “rock” their entire life on earth?

The apostle Paul explained that mystery in words even I can understand.

He said that anyone who truly loves God can learn the same “attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus” and “if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you” (Philippians 2:5; 3:15). 

It is a devotion toward God or “attitude” from our hearts that seeks and maintains a “simplicity of devotion to Christ” daily relationship within every season of life until you reach the end of your life on earth … just like your Master Jesus (John 17:1-26; Luke 6:40).

If you can learn to truly “abide in Him” and “obey Him” with this “attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus” then I believe you will suddenly find the THE DOOR OPEN to “the narrow gate” to Heaven and specifically His own version of the “Most fulfilling place on earth” for you and yours (John 10:9-10; 1 John 2:3-6).

What is Jesus offering us that is different from all the rest?

Jesus offers us His Gift (I call it D2 for short)  represented by His own eternal Life Goal or multi-dimensional eternal Life Plan for our life in John 10:9-10. Jesus explains,

“I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.” (John 10:9-10)

It’s Jesus’ own version of “life … abundantly” given as a promise to His disciples in John 10:9-10 (above) to literally receive in 3 Dimensions that I have reframed (not replaced) as the “Most fulfilling place on earth” as I “abide” in Him each day, each week, each month and each season of my brief life on earth.

God Himself is leading all our Priority Area relationships on earth that simply mean the most to us and NOW we finally have the chance to live what I like to call a Meaningful Life!

The difference between a meaningless life and a Meaningful Life is in the pursuit and practice of Priority Area relationships. I mean the pursuit of God first; Spouse second (if married); Family third (if having kids); Work fourth; and Neighborhood fifth  – in that order of Priority.

If you have ever experienced your life on earth at times feeling “meaningless” or at the end of something leaving you with that “vanity” after-taste then you know exactly what I mean.

Vanity is very real in a world lived without God and can raise its ugly depressing “head” whenever we neglect or reject the practice with discernible “fruit” of a Personal relationship with our #1 Priority Area … our relationship with our Creator.

This is without question the best ANSWER to why you are living unfulfilled even as you look around you and certainly in earthly terms you have every reason to be “happy”.

The missing Priority in anyone’s “meaningless” or “vain” life is always the practice and fruit associated with a Personal relationship with their #1 Priority Area God.

It’s not “rocket-science” because God designed our lives to be lived with the #1 Priority Area relationship honored “first place in everything” and anything less than this in practice and fruit is by definition second-place (one definition of “sin” and “lawlessness” in His Kingdom) unfulfilling and not satisfying (Colossians 1:13-18).

There is a required “transfer” from “the domain of darkness” to His Kingdom of “Light” to truly honor Jesus “first place in everything” and that is a transfer process few are willing to practice receiving through Jesus and His Gift (D2) at all let alone on a daily basis as a lifestyle as Jesus taught His disciples (Colossians 1:13).

Some Christians calling Jesus, “Lord, Lord,” never make that “transfer” from “the domain of darkness” to His Kingdom and are still practicing what Jesus calls “lawlessness” which is still considered by Him to be “sin” (Matthew 7:21-23; 1 John 3:4). Here is a hint from Jesus based on Matthew 7:21-23:

If you DON’T make the literal transfer of Kingdoms as Jesus requires in His Gospel of the Kingdom (see Colossians 1:13) then THERE WILL BE NO FULFILLMENT in your life.

There will be no connection to receiving what Jesus described as “the will of My Father who is in heaven” and there will be no eternal life lived in His eternal kingdom due to the practice that keeps you OUT of His Kingdom called “lawlessness” (Matthew 7:23).

God by His Spirit at work in our life in 3D puts us securely on His “side” of the ancient Rebellion of “lawlessness” in His Kingdom and literally everything else into its right Priority at all times.

He often does this without our conscious knowledge because His “Helper” Holy Spirit is taking care of all of it for us like a Gift (D2) from God Himself (Romans 8:24-28; Ephesians 2:1-10).

It’s the mystery of His Spirit explained in 1 Corinthians 2:5-16 at work in our life that provides the great depth to each part of life. Suddenly your 1D vain existence is replaced with a 3D “power from on high” as Jesus described His Gift of His Spirit in Luke 24:49.

Your Life In 3D is all you and Him getting to know both Him and your new life lived “clothed with power from on high” living in 3D’s each changing day, each changing week, each changing month and each changing season of your life.

What changes?

Hopefully you and your Priority Area relationships into a more mature and “fulfilled” disciple of Jesus, husband or wife, father, mother, child or brother or sister, worker, neighbor, friend and numerous other relationships in life as well.

That’s it! That’s your life on earth.

It’s truly like building a Meaningful Life from the foundation upward (1 Corinthians 3:5-4:5). It’s Jesus becoming our literal “rock” spiritual foundation and moving out from there to build something Meaningful on top of that foundation from God (Matthew 7:21-27).

Yes, He is obviously saving us from something that is literally stealing, killing and destroying our life in 3D. It keeps you OUT of His Kingdom, steals His Gifts and His Provision from Heaven and leaves you feeling alone and without Vision and faith for today and tomorrow.

Jesus’ view of “sin” and “lawlessness” which drive the ancient Rebellion of Satan on the earth is like the proverbial Elephant standing in your living room that you have to deal with before you can truly START LIVING (John 16:7-15; 1 John 1:1-5:21).

So, that’s certainly part of what He is doing and we always start there to follow His Way Out of all our Problems in 3D.

But know that the rest of the story of Your Life In 3D is supposed to be about learning to live without that “thief” being allowed to steal, kill and destroy your life because you are living powerfully and “not of this world” “in the same manner as He walked” (John 17:1-26; 1 John 2:3-6).

You must learn from Jesus and His words and His example how to”seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness” and “bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance” (Matthew 6:33; 1 John 2:3-6; Matthew 3:8; John 15:1-8).

A Meaningful Life is a collection of meaningful parts including its countless Meaningful Missions both planned for and unplanned by us.

When practiced “in part” under the awesome design of God by His Spirit these “parts” mysteriously come together like a Meaningful Tapestry or Puzzle.

I also like the analogy of building a Lego project because all we really need to do with God is to simply obey Him and His easy to follow directions one step and one part at a time and depending on the given Lego project size and scope we suddenly have an amazing finished product to get excited about!

Have you seen many finished products of a life lived in 3D before? Me neither.

But if we can learn to jump over all of the many, many, many … many … obstacles to actually “seeing” Jesus and practicing Him as our Primary Model for a Christian then we can certainly ALL look at the life of Jesus lived for 33 years on the earth in the Bible to learn from Him what His example of a Life In 3D should look like at the END and make His life lived in 3D our Life Goal in 3D too  (Luke 6:40; Romans 8:14-39).

Jesus’ life on earth was a Masterpiece from the Father. But Christians are somehow afraid of the Masterpiece and have too often distanced themselves from His Primary Example for a Christian for many reasons.

None of them are good or acceptable reasons at all.

Jesus’ Primary Example of “righteousness” was not even available until He came to us from Heaven to show us His unique to Him “way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” mystery from Heaven.

The blueprints for His life in 3D were so top-secret that not even the Prophets of old were able to “see” and “know” how it works until Jesus came to explain it to us and for us (Luke10:17-24).

He even said that since He would be leaving earth and returning to His throne in Heaven that He would send us all His “Helper” Holy Spirit to do INDIVIDUALLY for each of us what Jesus would be doing in Person if still here in a human body (John 16:7-15).

Amazingly, both Jesus and the Father invite us (Matthew 11:25-30) to have that SAME RESULT of being like Jesus “the first born among many brethren” (Romans 8:29-39) “born again” (John 3:3-12) and living a “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:15-16) spiritual life as we “abide” in God today (1 John 2:3-6)!

We just have to show up to obey and build our new life in Jesus like the Lego project which I like to call Your Life In 3D.

It may seem hard to you but with the Help of Jesus’ Helper Holy Spirit it truly is as easy as building one of those Lego projects step-by-step. I help you with that at my Chestnutland.

God can always “see” your finished Legoland (I call it YourNameLand in 3D) Project called your life and each part is important to Him!

My job as your Life Coach In 3D is to remind you regularly to never again despise or neglect even the seemingly small parts of Your Life In 3D because each part and each decision can have a part to play from His perspective of your life and especially from His unique design and plans for you (Matthew 12:25-37).

Each part of your life on earth is lived like an “offering” and worship of love and 100% heart devotion back to Him in appreciation for Him giving you and yours life and all His Gifts that make life worth living.

I mean a life lived fearless and fulfilled in a world where a “thief” would “steal, kill and destroy” your life if possible leaving you fearful and unfulfilled including any number of self-inflicted Problems in life (John 10:10; 1 Corinthians 6:17-20; 2 Corinthians 2:14-17).

Receiving what He has for you in His multitudes of Gifts for your life should eventually lead you to an amazing MIXTURE of His own plan (His “will” from Heaven) mixed with a measure of your own great freedom He gives you to receive and build anything earthly on top of His spiritual foundation.

The result is something that the “Happiest place on earth” cannot compete with even with its Billions of dollars invested strategically just to make you happy.

Discerning Disciples are pursuing Jesus “first place in everything” and are done with pursuing the vanity of “happiness” as if it can satisfy only what God can satisfy in His promise of the “Most fulfilling place on earth” Life Goal (John 10:9-10).
